The presence of humans on earth is undeniable. We have built cities, roads, and industrialized nearly every part of the planet. Our impact on the earth is evident in the form of climate change, extinction of species, pollution, and deforestation. But, what would the earth look like without humans?

First and foremost, the natural world would flourish. Without our interference, the plants and animals that we have pushed to the brink of extinction would thrive. In turn, this would have a positive effect on the environment, as these species play important roles in our ecosystem.

Forests would cover the earth, and many of the deserts that we have created by urbanization would vanish. The oceans would continue to rise and ebb, and coral reefs would continue to thrive without being bleached by pollutants or overfished by humans.

The atmosphere would also change significantly. Since human pollution is a major contributor to climate change, the atmosphere would be much clearer, and the air would be cleaner. The ozone layer would also begin to heal, reversing the damage that has been done through decades of using aerosol sprays and other polluting activities.

Without humans, the cities that we have built would crumble and decay in a matter of years without the upkeep and maintenance that we provide. The buildings would be overtaken by nature, and plants and small mammals would find new homes in the abandoned buildings.

Overall, the earth without humans would be a healthier and more vibrant planet. Although it’s impossible to imagine this scenario, it is an important reminder of how our actions greatly impact the planet. It’s a call to action to make necessary changes in our daily lives to ensure the preservation of our planet for future generations.
